Coding & Computer Science With Scratch (Ages 8-11)
Computer science is for everyone! Scratch is a great introduction to coding and computer science concepts. Learn to create your own animations, games, and programs. Think creatively, reason, and collaborate. With Scratch, you’ll practice these essential skills for everyone in today’s society.
This class uses concepts and standards from the K-12 Computer Science Framework. Lessons incorporate key practices and concepts that go beyond creating games. Learn computer science vocabulary and ideas that transfer to future learning. Have fun while building thinking and problem-solving skills.
Level-Up Coding with MakeCode Arcade (Ages 12-14)
Ready to take your coding to the next level? Bridge the gap between block-based coding and text-based programs with MakeCode Arcade!
This class is perfect for students with some block-based coding experience. Learn to build games and programs using Microsoft’s MakeCode. Make most of your games in JavaScript. Students will also have the opportunity to explore a little bit of Python.
